The Radovljica Chocolate Festival
April 2020
Every April, the Chocolate Festival enthuses visitors from Slovenia and abroad. The first Chocolate Festival in Radovljica was organized on the 90th anniversary of Gorenjka, the home to one of the first, and the most renowed chocolate brand in Slovenia. The story of Gorenjka begins in 1922 when Adolf Zavratnik established a family-owned chocolate production company and thus set fundation for a rich chocolate tradition in Radovljica and Slovenia.
Numerous Slovene and foreign chocolatiers and other chocolate manufacturers showcase their products on stalls in the Radovljica Mansion, on Linhart Square, in Grajski Park in front of Hotel Grajski dvor, and on Vurnik Square. A rich and varied entertainment programme, with many shows, workshops for children and adults, and street performers, also enhances the event.
Radovljica will be ‘Honestly Sweet’ again for the 9th Chocolate Festival in April 2020. You are chocordially invited!

The Radovljica Festival is the oldest Slovenian festival of early music. Carefully selected performers from around the world impress with their enchanting top performances. The high-quality and diverse programme, which includes ten concerts in different locations, also contains some modern music. The charming atmosphere of the Radovljica Mansion and St. Peter’s Church, and the opulent Church of the Annunciation in Velesovo are excellent locations for this internationally recognised event, which combines music, culture and history.
You can listen to interpretations of late medieval and Renaissance vocal and instrumental music again at the 38th Radovljica Festival, which will be held in August 2020.

The Avsenik Festival
Avgust 2021
Every second year, the International Avsenik Festival, organised by Tradicija Avsenik, brings lovers of folk music to Begunje na Gorenjskem. Numerous Slovene performers and many foreign ensembles play some of the greatest hits as well as some less familiar melodies from the famous Avsenik Brothers Ensemble.
The sounds of Oberkrainer folk music will resonate again at the Avsenik Festival in August 2021. You, too, can dance to the rhythms of waltz and polka!

Taste Radol'ca
November 2020
The Taste Radol’ca project comes alive every November. Popular restaurants and inns offer various menus at a fixed price. The ingredients for the dishes come from local producers, while skilled chefs put them together to create delicious and original tastes. The rich accompanying programme, with culinary workshops, musical events and local delicacies on offers, contributes even further to this project.
